For the last four years, Dallas HBA Members and Staff have been working to create a Health Benefit Trust in order to bring a unique and highly competitive health benefit program to the principals and employees of HBA member companies. We are fast approaching the time when we will be authorized to offer a top quality program that will provide our members with many options for coverage and the opportunity to add other elements to their package of benefits.

We will be using United Healthcare for accessing the physicians, hospitals and clinics; the pharmacy program will be administered by InformedRX, a large national service company; and the Dental and Vision programs will be serviced by Guardian. You can check with your current doctors and dentist to see if they are a part of these groups. You will find the health rates posted online at http://mewa.dallasbuilders.com in the tab section on the upper right hand side and the dental and vision rates are posted in the description tabs for each of those programs.

Your Health Benefit Board of Trustees is posting the proposed draft of the plan online at http://mewa.dallasbuilders.com/ for informational purposes only. We are not allowed to accept money or to offer you insurance prior to receiving the Texas Department of Insurance authorization, a Certificate of Authority. We hope to begin operations early 2012, with your support.
